TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.

AUTHORIZED DRIVERS

  • Only the renter and any additional driver(s) listed in this agreement, each holding a valid driver's license, are authorized to operate the rented vehicle.
  • Any person not listed in this agreement is strictly prohibited from driving the vehicle.
  • If an unauthorized person operates the vehicle, all CDW protection and any other optional coverage shall become void. The renter shall be fully responsible for all damages, losses, legal expenses, claims and liabilities resulting from such unauthorized use.

2.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)

  • The CDW is optional and reduces your financial responsibility for accidental damage to the vehicle, subject to the deductible shown on the front.
  • If declined, you accept full responsibility for all damages, losses, towing, storage, loss of use and administrative fees.
  • CDW does NOT cover damage or loss resulting from:
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Reckless or negligent driving
  • Unauthorized drivers
  • Driving in prohibited or restricted areas
  • Driving on beaches or white sand
  • Water damage
  • Tires, wheels, rims, mirrors, windshield, undercarriage, roof and doors, interior damage or wear
  • Lost or damaged keys
  • Using incorrect fuel
  • Any violation of this agreement

In these cases, you remain fully responsible for all costs, regardless of whether CDW was accepted or declined.

Narens Car Rental reserves the right to determine the extent of the damage and calculate costs based on dealer or repair facility estimates or invoices.

3.

SAFE DRIVING & TRAFFIC LAWS

  • Obey all traffic laws and speed limits of Aruba at all times.
  • Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Adjust speed to road, traffic and weather conditions.
  • You are responsible for all traffic violations, fines, parking tickets, towing fees and penalties.
  • CDW and other protections may be void if laws are violated.

4.

VEHICLE USE & RESTRICTED AREAS

  • Only designated 4x4 vehicles, including Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited, Gladiator and Isuzu D-Max, may be driven in Arikok National Park and to Natural Pool (Conchi) on official public roads.
  • Prohibited for all vehicles: beaches, white sand, seawater, flooded areas, closed or restricted areas and unauthorized locations.
  • Removable roofs and doors may be removed at your own risk. The renter is responsible for safe handling, storage, transport and reinstallation. Water damage, lost parts or improper installation are NOT covered by CDW.
  • Reinstall the roof when weather conditions indicate rain or strong winds. The renter is responsible for any damages related to improper use.

5.

ACCIDENTS, BREAKDOWNS & ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

          YOU MUST:

  • Contact Narens Car Rental immediately.
  • Contact the Police when required by law.
  • Complete and sign any accident report.
  • Cooperate during investigation or claims.
  • Do not leave the scene before complying with local laws.

          ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY APPLY:

  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
  • Recovery from prohibited areas
  • Lost keys
  • Running out of fuel

FREE 24-HOUR ASSISTANCE

  • Flat tires
  • Dead batteries
  • Lockouts (keys inside)
  • Mechanical breakdowns*
  • Assistance after an accident

*Not caused by negligence or misuse.

6.

FUEL POLICY

  • Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as received.
  • Charges for missing fuel:
    Passenger Cars: $15.00 per 1/8 tank below the original level   /   Jeeps, SUVs, Vans & 4x4: $20.00 per 1/8 tank below the original level   /   Bus: Further charges may apply
  • No refund for excess fuel.
  • Using the wrong fuel type is your responsibility, including repairs, towing and administrative fees.

7.

FLAT TIRE & TIRE DAMAGE POLICY

  • 24-hour roadside assistance for flat tires is FREE.

  • You pay for the tire repair. If replacement is needed due to driving on a flat tire, negligence, prohibited areas, beaches/white sand or misuse, you are responsible for the replacement.

  • If the rim or other parts are damaged, you pay for all related repairs.

  • Narens Car Rental determines if a tire can be repaired or must be replaced.

8.

VEHICLE RETURN, CLEANING & PERSONAL BELONGINGS

RETURN

  • Return on the date, time and location shown on the front.
  • Changes require prior approval and may have additional charges.

CLEANING

  • Return the vehicle clean.
  • Excessive dirt, mud, stains, smoke or pet hair, spills or extraordinary cleaning may result in additional charges.
$75.00 /Passenger Cars

$150.00 /Vans/Bus
  • Loss of use may be charged if the vehicle cannot be rented.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

  • Not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
  • Check carefully before return.
  • Shipping/handling fees apply for recovered items.

9.

DAMAGE CHARGES.

  • Fuel Cap
  • Wheel Hub Cap
  • Antenna
  • Radio / Multimedia Unit
  • Jack
  • Jack Handle
  • Lug Wrench
  • Remote Control
  • Vehicle Key
  • License Plate
  • Battery
  • Wheel Rim
  • Tires
  • Any other damage not listed above

All other damages (body, paint, glass, interior, suspension, electronics, accessories, mechanical, etc.) will be charged at actual repair or replacement cost based on dealer or authorized repair facility estimates/invoices, plus administrative fees.

10.

PAYMENT, SECURITY DEPOSIT & AUTHORIZATION

  • You agree to pay all rental charges, taxes, fees and extras.
  • A pre-authorization (security deposit hold) will be placed on your credit card at pickup. This is not a charge.
  • It may be used for: damage not covered by CDW, fuel charges, fines, lost keys, cleaning, late return, missing items, administrative fees and any unpaid balance.
  • If no charges are due, the hold will be released by your bank (times may vary).
  • You authorize Narens Car Rental to charge any additional amounts owed with supporting documentation.
  • If you cannot provide a valid credit card with sufficient funds for the required deposit, we reserve the right to refuse delivery of the vehicle.

11.

GENERAL LIABILITY

  • Narens Car Rental is not responsible for personal injury, property damage or loss resulting from use of the vehicle, except where required by law.
  • You are responsible for any claims, damages or expenses arising from your actions or violations of this agreement.
  • Any fines, penalties, towing or legal costs resulting from your actions are your responsibility.

IMPORTANT
This includes damages to the vehicle, third parties and property.
Excess insurance may not cover all situations.
Drive responsibly!

12.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

  • CDW is NOT an insurance policy and does not cover medical, travel, health, life or personal property.
  • We recommend you have medical, accident, travel and personal property insurance.
  • We are not responsible for injuries, medical costs, personal belongings, travel interruptions or other personal losses.
  • Check with your insurance or credit card provider about rental car benefits before declining CDW.

13.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS AGREEMENT

  • Violating any term may cancel CDW and other protections.
  • You agree to pay all losses, damages, costs and expenses resulting from your breach of this agreement, including repairs, towing, replacement of parts, recovery, administrative fees, legal fees and loss of use.
  • You agree to cooperate with Narens Car Rental in any claim investigation.

 

WARNING
Non-compliance may result in additional charges and legal action.

14.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & ACCEPTANCE

  • I have read, understood and agree to all terms and conditions of this rental agreement.
  • All information provided is true, complete and accurate.
  • I accept full responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period.
  • I authorize Narens Car Rental to verify the information provided and collect any lawful charges.
  • This agreement is governed by the laws of Aruba and any dispute shall be subject to the courts of Aruba.
